RE: UH OH!!!! Ants shacked up in my toilet!!!!!

Thanks everyone.....
I did pull the screen off the kitchen sink and no bugs came out. I am confident they are confined to the toilet. I am at work today for 24 hours and we are leaving tomorrow for a 2 day trip. I plan to disassemble the toilet when we get there and clean it up, which should resolve the problem for now, then I can worry bout reoccurence. We will be next to my Dads 40' DP so if DW needs the potty while Im workin, she can run next door........I'll let you know how it turns out and if I have the opportunity, I'll try and snap a few pics of it

RE: UH OH!!!! Ants shacked up in my toilet!!!!!

Yes, they are coming out of the jets........the tank was sanitized in May with a commercial fresh water sanitizer.....I dont think they are in the black tank except for the ones that got flushed today......

RE: UH OH!!!! Ants shacked up in my toilet!!!!!

I just went out again and there were at least 20 in the bowl........when you flush eggs( i assume come out)
is Borax in the black tank gonna help????? They could either be in the toilet itself or the piping system.........

UH OH!!!! Ants shacked up in my toilet!!!!!

Havent ysed the TH in 5 months and went out to prep for a trip today..........Flushed the toilet and got ants ans eggs(i think)......Flushed till they topped flowing then brushed, let it sit and they are still there............They are out of reach of the brush so they are either under the rim, inside the toilet, or in my fresh water tank..........
I'm stumped.........Any suggestions?????

RE: So Fla. AARP (Al And Reeni's Party) Weekend

i can tell you what the rules were last year, not sure if they have changed.......last year OHV's just had to show proof of ownership which in my case is a bill of sale since it is not titled and that was adequate......
If youre interested go to the forums at atvflorida.com......they have a whole section on places to ride and lots of info on ocala. one of the mods works in ocala and can answer any questions

RE: So Fla. AARP (Al And Reeni's Party) Weekend

lets see, I have to pull a map for the campground....
You can ride whatever you have right from your site to the trails
Generator was fine with quiet hours after 10 pm......but we were there in July and only 3 sites were occupied so the rules may be flexible.....
Still mooing but gonna look for pics in a few

We went to ocala last summer and I loved it......No hookups but they have fire rings, minimal shade and enough trails that you can ride till ya run out of fuel.......Im in the middle of cookin a turkey but I'll see if I can find some pics a little later

RE: Lookin for help to run a/c on a 20A home circuit

I would not get an extension cord even if it is 12 gauge.
I would buy 100 + feet of 10/2 w ground Romex wire, good quality cord bodies, a 20 ampere for house end and a female 30 ampere NEMA 30TT.
NM-2 Romex will last outside for a while, not really designed for this purpose but it will work.
even if I wanted a cord, there arent any locally so what we're gonna do is get 10/2 romex and wire a temporary box to finish this project. Once we're done, and I have time I will permananetly wire and mount a box that will be 50 feet or less from both RV's so we would both have access. That ought to work for now. Eventually I want to put up a pole barn and run 30A service, but thats a wh8ile down the road.....

RE: Lookin for help to run a/c on a 20A home circuit

thanks.....i know it isnt an ideal situation bu teven a new cord is cheaper than dieselm for the generator. Once i get the seats back in, we can move it closer, and hopefully get set up better

Lookin for help to run a/c on a 20A home circuit

I'm replacing the floor in my Dad's class A and we've been running the generator for a/c but its getting pricey. We tried to plug in to the house but the coach is about 100 feet from the house and the seats are out so we cant move it. We keep blowing the breaker and I think its because of resistance with several extensions. We were using the coach plug, a 30a 25 foot extension, then a regular house extension. Anyone have any pointers on how we might be able to work it????

RE: Rv refinancing with cash out?????

sure but couldn't he just get a signature loan against it for the same or lower rate?
bumpy
I would imagine so, but down here anyway, signature loans are higher.

RE: Rv refinancing with cash out?????

Thanks........and as far as the financial trouble thing, even with the payoff and mods, the loan would probably be less than 30% of the value of the coach, so he is OK

Rv refinancing with cash out?????

Is there such a thing???? My dad is gonna do some mods to his coach and was wondering if anyone has ever done cash out refinancing to incorporate the costs into the payment. He has about 100k in equity in the coach so that end shouldnt be a problem. Are there specific loans to do this???? Can you just take an RV loan, pay off the existing loan and cash out????
